Elevated

10 Years of Hope, Care, & Connection. Now it’s Time to Elevate
Help Sarah’s House Reach New Heights for Maine Cancer Patients

Sarah’s House Story
Sarah’s House began as the dream of Sarah Robinson, a young mother diagnosed with brain cancer in 2010. During her treatment, Sarah saw the immense challenges rural Maine cancer patients faced—traveling long distances to the Bangor/Brewer area for life-saving care without an affordable place to stay.
Her vision of a “home away from home” became a reality in 2014, thanks to the dedication of family, friends, and community partners.
Why Elevate Now?
As we celebrate 10 years of service, the needs of our guests have evolved. To continue fulfilling Sarah’s mission, we must expand and improve Sarah’s House to better serve all patients.
Our $1.6 million Elevated Campaign will fund:
Four additional ADA-compliant guest rooms for accessibility.
An elevator to ensure all guests can access the second floor.
An enclosed fire escape to increase safety.
A functional outbuilding to meet storage and outdoor needs.

Help Us Elevate!

“As we head into this campaign, we continue the work Sarah began, touching lives just as she did, carrying her passion forward and ensuring that her dream doesn’t fade but grows stronger with each step we take. This is way MORE than a just capital campaign—it’s a promise to keep working and improving the house for those struggling with cancer who literally cannot climb a set of stairs.
Sarah’s life on this Earth was short, but her legacy lives on and we will work to keep her light shining for those in need. The Elevated Campaign is going to take Sarah’s House to the next level, literally!“
Lindsay Holmstrom

“We support Sarah’s House because we totally believe in their mission of helping Maine families who are facing cancer. Now open for 10 years, Sarah’s House has served over 700 guests from 15 of Maine’s 16 counties. We hope you will join us in supporting the Sarah’s House Elevated Campaign.”
