Comfortable Guest Rooms
At Sarah’s House, our nine-bedroom facility is designed to provide the utmost comfort during your stay. Each room is thoughtfully furnished with cozy beds, private bathrooms, and soothing decor to create a peaceful environment. Whether you prefer single or double occupancy, all options come equipped with essential amenities for your convenience. Additionally, a shared laundry room is available for all guests, adding to the practicality of your stay.

Accommodation FAQs
What are the check in/check out procedures?
Once the referral from Cancer Care has been made, we schedule a mandatory orientation of Sarah’s House and review our guest policies with you. Check in is between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. Guests are able to stay with us Monday through Thursday nights. When you leave for your Friday appointment, we ask you to return your room keys and empty your room by 10:00 am.
How do I reserve a room?
Referrals to Sarah’s House are made by the Patient Advocates at Cancer Care. They can be reached in person at Cancer Care or you can call them at 207-973-7478 to arrange the referral.
Who can stay with me?
Guests are REQUIRED to have an adult (over age 18) caregiver stay with them at all times. An adult caregiver could be a family member or a friend. They are not required to be a medical professional. It is the caregivers’ responsibility to be sure the patient receives the proper level of care and attention at all times. Sarah’s House is a hospitality house and our staff members and volunteers are not medical professionals
What is in the guest rooms?
We have rooms furnished with either a queen bed or two twin beds. Each room has a private bath, heat pump/air conditioner and cable tv. All towels and bedding are also provided.
What do I need to bring?
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cooking utensils and basic pantry items. You need only bring your personal care items, clothing, and your food. You will be provided a shelf in the refrigerator and in the pantry to store your food items. Sarah’s House guests are responsible for their own meal preparation.
