Discover Sarah’s House Events: From Signature Events to Community Happenings
Acadia Region Corvette Club will host the 10th Annual Corvette Autumn Car Show on September 13-14th. The Start Your Engines party for all show participants will be at the Elks Lodge on High Street in Ellsworth, starting at 4:00 pm Friday; and the car show follows on Saturday morning. There is no charge to register your car for the show if done before Friday. Registration on the day of the show is $10. Registered participants arrive between 9:00–10:00 AM Saturday morning, and the show opens to the public at 10:00. There will be games and a silent auction of donated items and services, with all proceeds going to Sarah’s House!

A “home away from home” for Maine cancer patients receiving treatments in the Bangor area. We provide a comfortable and caring environment based on hope and healing. There is no charge to stay at Sarah’s House.
Last week Renewal by Andersen of Greater Maine presented Sarah’s House of Maine with a $4,385 donation that they raised for us during the month of October!! 💚 They presented the check at the Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours that Renewal by Andersen hosted in celebration of their 10 Year Anniversary! 🥳 They put on a wonderful event and even collected Wish List items for us that night! 🥰 We are so incredibly appreciative of the continued support we receive from this outstanding company! 🙌🏻 A huge thank you to Renewal by Andersen, everyone that purchased windows/doors from them in October, and everyone who donated to our Wish List drive at the Bangor Chamber event! 😁
Wow what an amazing donation from our friends at CrossFit Bangor! 🤩 They collected all of these items plus a $250 donation at their annual Sarah’s House of Maine Wish List drive this year! 💚. We already knew they had big muscles 💪🏼 but their hearts are even bigger! 🥰. Thank you so much for your continued support! 🙌🏻
Thank you to the Optum Supply Chain Team (Partnership with Northern Light Health) for holding a cookie drive for our guests! 🍪 Yesterday Angela Graychase stopped in to tour the house and deliver many dozens of yummy cookies. 🥰. Our guests were so happy to have so many options for a sweet treat after a long day! 💚
We started off the week with a scrumptious baked chicken dinner on Monday provided by the amazing team from AstraZeneca US! 🍽️☺️ Dr. Sheila Pascual and Danielle Fogg, NP from Northern Light Health Cancer Care helped them prepare the meal and stayed to enjoy dinner with our guests. 💚 Then on Tuesday morning we had one of the wonderful crews from Bangor Savings Bank come in and prepare made to order breakfast sandwiches and fruit salad! 💙 Our Sarah’s House guests’ hearts and tummies are full and we can’t thank you all enough! 🥰
Sending a heartfelt thank you to Jill Shorey for raising $500 for us last month! 💚 Jill works at Maverick Hair Company in Hampden and raised these funds by selling pink hair extensions throughout October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness! 💕. It was so nice to meet her and show her around Sarah’s House of Maine! We are very thankful for this wonderful community support! 🥰
